New video `9 Turns`

This summer in Capetown was awesome again. We had loads of good, frequent wind in combination with some solid swell roling in. In this new videoclip i caught a big wave in Hakgat with 9 Turns on a downwind session. This is why i love Capetown so much:-)

Hey everybody! Here is a collection of my Gopro pics that i took this season here in the waves in Capetown…hope you like it! I think its quite cool what possibilities there are with this little fun camera. Kiting with the shark

A little while back Stefan Permien and Annika visited Capetown the first time…finally! So we went for a trip to this lagoon at the Eastcoast of Southafrica. It was great conditions but after half an hour a lady ran down the dune telling us they saw a massive shark in the lagoon right now! We were pretty scared as there have been many shark spottings and pictures in the news of a 4 meter Sambisi shark caught and tagged with a radio transmitter not that long ago. We ended up going back in the water but only doing safe tricks! It was quite a weird feeling to just have the big sharp teeth in mind coming to get us when we might crash…enjoy the pics!

Great days in Southafrica

Hi everybody, i hope you have all had a good start of the year 2011. Its been amazing over here in Capetown. We had loads of good conditions with perfect flatwater sessions and steady wind and also strong winds with some serious swells rolling in. Here you go with some more pics from that secret lake. Lake somewhere in Africa

Last week we had amazing 30c temperatures in Capetown already…very nice for spring. So Sylvester and me decided to take a drive to this lake again and we were lucky there with the wind. And the spot was empty just for us the whole day:-)

We kited without a wetsuit for most the time which is just such a luxury as in Capetown you hardly ever have warm water in the ocean. So a wetsuit is normally a must. Check out some pics from our soul session. Life is good!!!

Back in Capetown with new sponsor Core and Carved

I am very happy to anounce my new sponsor Core Kites and Carved Boards! Its such a great deal as I work directly now with the manufacturer himself Bernie Hiss and his team from Germany! Very stoked with my new equipment as its working really well and doesnt take much time to get used to.

This year I arrived in Capetown a bit earlier and its so goood to see my girlfriend again. Waves have been quite big and the wind is also already kicking in! This is the frist spring I have ever experiensed in Capetown and its very beautiful, so green and lots of flowers everywhere. Its still a little cooler but summer is on the way!
